Job description
Be part of something BIG!
BPDTS Ltd is a not-for-profit company which provides dedicated services to the Department for Work and Pensions. Our digital, data and technology specialists work closely with experts in DWP Digital’s community to make digital services quicker, simpler and more efficient for the millions of people that use them every day.
You might be surprised at what we have to offer
As a Digital Service Practice Lead, you’ll be part of multi-disciplinary team of experts, providing services that have far reaching and pivotal roles in citizen’s lives. A relaxed culture empowers our teams to focus entirely on the outcomes we’re trying to achieve.
You’ll join a growing, talented community of experts based all across the UK, and become a key part of a thriving community of Delivery Managers.
We’re currently delivering one of the biggest and highest-profile digital transformation programmes in the world. Our teams of design technology and security specialists work together to make digital services quicker, simpler and more efficient.
We know that better digital services in government will change the face of public services, with the power to make a difference to the lives of 22 million citizens across the UK.
Key responsibilities
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team you will define services offered by the practice, setting out how they will be delivered and what excellence looks like.
You will assure delivery of digital services by practice members, many of whom will be embedded in DWP teams, providing regular technical direction and coaching as to how services are performed.
Keeping the customer in mind you will work with DWP Practice Leads and BPDTS Heads of Operations to develop a deep understanding of customer needs both now and in the future, and define strategic, longer-term view of service demand.
About you
The Delivery Management Service Practice Lead must have demonstrable experience of senior leadership in a digital environment, with the ability to build momentum for change across an organisation.
A strong market presence, with an ability to communicate insight and technical excellence and a track record of reducing complexity and optimising delivery flow.
Where you’ll work
We know that you don’t have to be based in London to be a great Delivery Manager.
We have easy-to-reach digital hubs in Newcastle, Manchester and London and you can be based at whichever site is most convenient to you.
We offer a flexible benefits package, including a cycle to work scheme and family friendly perks such as a generous annual leave allowance which can all be tailored to your lifestyle. You’ll also be in line for a very competitive salary of up to £89,995, employer pension contributions of up to 10%, a performance related annual bonus of up to 10%, and lots more.
Building our future
We believe the work we do really matters, so we’re serious about investing in your ability.
You’ll have access to a huge suite of training and learning opportunities to complement the new skills and experience you’ll acquire on the job, as well as the chance to share knowledge with colleagues from across the tech community and via our coaching and mentoring programmes.
