Our digital, data and technology specialists work closely with experts in DWP Digital’s community to make digital services quicker, simpler and more efficient for the millions of people that use them.
We are looking for Digital Service Practice Managers to work with us on one of the largest transformation programmes in Europe, providing services that have far-reaching and pivotal roles in citizens’ lives. About you
As a Digital Service Practice Managers you’ll work closely with the Digital Service Practice Leads in each BPDTS Service Practice to build and develop a community of practice and the capability of each community’s members.
You will primarily be responsible for the development and performance management of a group of 15-25 practice members. You will play an important part in building capacity and capability to respond to requirements, now and in the future.
This rare and exciting role requires a candidate that has a huge amount of leadership experience within the IT and Digital industry. Your strong communication skills will allow you to form strong relationships with the team.
What are we looking for?
- You will have proven ability in successfully leading operational teams in a fast-paced multi-disciplined environment within a Digital/Technology Services Organisation.
- You are good at managing people and deploying resources, dealing with challenge and influencing and building capability with proven results.
- You’re a great communicator, articulate and credible at a senior level; you’re able to manage strong relationships with stakeholders, delivering difficult messages, if needed.
- You have great planning and organising skills. You’re able to react positively and quickly to competing priorities and keep noise to a minimum .
- You work collaboratively and you have experience managing change in a service environment.
- You will have a background in the delivery of technical services, with hands-on experience of areas such as Architecture, Product Design, Software or Infrastructure Engineering, QA, Data & Analytics, Delivery Management or IT Service Management.
