We are looking for talented Front End Developers to work with us on one of the biggest transformation programmes in Europe, providing services that have far-reaching and pivotal roles in citizens’ lives.

In BPDTS Ltd you will be part of an organisation responsible for the delivery of digital platforms and services, real-time analytics and flexible infrastructure, providing secure and resilient services to DWP – the largest government department in the UK.

Our Front End Developers play an important part in delivering quality services to people who interact with DWP. We’re looking for people who will deliver coherent, accessible, fast, well-tested and easy-to-maintain services.

You’ll receive on the job coaching, mentoring and support, collaborating with and learning from our other experienced designers and developers. You’ll also have access to loads of training and development, internal and external, with invites to conferences, meet-ups, events and more.

You and your role

The role involves working as part of a cross functional team, shaping and building a Service. You would be producing high quality Front End code, using TDD and modern tooling and Pipelines.
You’ll work iteratively with other Engineers and User Centred Design professionals to create accessible services for citizens.

What are we looking for?

• Uses agreed security standards and specifications to design, create, test and document new or amended software.
• Maintains and supports services.
• Creates the specification and design of systems to meet defined business needs. Has the ability to work with business and technology stakeholders to translate business problems into technical designs. Able to visualise the ideal user service, come up with design ideas and possible design approaches. Explores different approaches to solving problems.
• Integrates and tests components, systems and their interfaces to create operational services.
• Able to translate user stories and propose design approaches or services to meet these needs and engages in meaningful interactions and relationships with users. Puts users first and can manage competing priorities.

BPDTS Ltd provides dedicated services to the Department for Work and Pensions. Our digital, data and technology specialists work closely with experts in DWP Digital’s community to make digital services quicker, simpler and more efficient for the millions of people that use them.
You’ll join us in one of our easy-to-reach digital hubs in Blackpool
