You and your role
You’ll join our Infrastructure Services Networks and Telecommunications team.
We’re responsible for managing a range Network Services and Products including data services currently provided by BT and Vodafone, voice and mobile services currently provided by Vodafone, deployment of Meraki Wi-Fi throughout the DWP estate, Network services within the On-Premise Hosting Data Centres and Secure Digital Exchange (SDX) integration with Cloud Service Providers.
You will have responsibility and ownership over a range of products. Working in collaboration with a range of internal/external partners, stakeholders and customers you will ensure the operational stability, robustness, resilience, availability and quality of DWP Networks.
Working closely with the Product Owners and Senior Infrastructure Engineers you will be responsible for ensuring best practices are adhered to across the department and supporting your team on how to deliver quality, modern Infrastructure solutions
What are we looking for?
- You can develop effective relationships with key stakeholders and work collaboratively with colleague across multi-functional teams
- You have good experience of effectively communicating at different levels across a range of stakeholders using a variety of methods including digital, written and verbal.
- You can interpret complex/technical information and give explanations to colleagues, stakeholders and customers adopting the most appropriate, simple and comprehensible method of communication
- You have experience of working under pressure and ensuring actions are completed in a timely manner.
- You have experience of analyzing and interpreting complex data, using sound judgement to recommend considered approaches to improve situations and tasks.
- You deliver excellent customer service which balances quality and cost effectiveness
Experience of one or more of the following toolset types is desirable:
- Awareness of network infrastructures and technologies.
- Delivery management of network solutions and projects, liaising with operational leads
- Experience of Service Management in a complex, multi-supplier environment.
- Experience of delivering a consistently high standard of service to internal and external customers.
- Experience of prioritising workloads within a flexible environment
- Experience of service and delivery reporting – production and presentation of management information, reports and dashboards.
