DWP are looking for IT Service Managers to work with us on in a once-in-a-generation digital transformation. Our people work on projects that are revolutionising products and services that are used by millions of people every day.

Using fresh ideas and leading edge technologies – and putting the user at the centre of everything we do – we create In DWP IT Operation Controllers proactively monitor live services to ensure the availability of our services through proactive monitoring, incident management, performance trends to identify potential problems, security breaches or areas for improvement that need to be investigated. We make sure our services are live and available so our colleagues and our millions of users have the access they need when they need it.
As a Senior IT Operations Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining operational service . You’ll use your knowledge and experience of industry best practice to deliver end-to-end service monitoring that meets the needs of users and stakeholders.
You will also manage day and 24/7 shift teams, getting the best out of your people to deliver a robust IT operational monitoring service.
What skills and experience are we looking for?
- Experience of dealing with high impact, complex changes and ensuring that release policies, procedures and processes are applied.
- Experience of leading on the investigation prioritisation and resolution of incidents.
- Experience of working with the ITIL Service Management Lifecycle including Change Management.
- Working knowledge of event management using tools such as ServiceNow and BMC.
