We’re looking for talented Lead Data Architect to join us and become a key part of one of the UK’s biggest and most high-profile digital transformation programmes, a once-in-a-generation tech-driven reform of government products and services.
You and your role
As a Lead Data Architect you will provide expert guidance and leadership on the development of data strategy, data-based products, data governance and quality assurance. You will work with the chief data architect, data domain architect, technical architects and wider stakeholder groups to help create and deliver a world class data-as-a-service offering to the department.
It is a really exciting time to join us. Shared Services is re-designing, building and delivering a new data services platform and Data Warehouse and also developing principles and policies of Data Governance utilising AWS and Azure and Cloud technologies.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for an exemplary Lead Data Architect who has experience in leading teams in a large scope data oriented system development particularly in Data Standards and Data Governance.
- Ability to communicate complex technical and data issues with clarity
- Experience of building a network of strong interpersonal relationships to achieve shared objectives
- Listen to the needs of stakeholders (both technical and business) and interpret between them
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the technical and data concepts required in the role and how they fit into the wider technical landscape
- Work with and challenge senior stakeholders, can prioritise and mitigate constraints, adapting your approach accordingly
