Mobile Technical Lead: Up to £82,543 20%+ pension contributions, flexible working, work life balance and great benefits
We’re looking for a brilliant Senior Technical Lead to join us on DWP’s Mobile Team.
We are building a Centre of Excellence within our Mobility team which will provide an interface between our team and other product delivery units. We want someone with experience as a Tech Lead, a mobile applications expert who can provide guidance and governance to other areas looking at the development of large scale internal mobile applications.
You and your role
This Senior Technical Lead post is based in Mobility for DWP. We think this is a once-in-a-career opportunity to help build a robust Apps-based Centre of Excellence that will provide services to over 20 million customers.
You are a skilled, experienced mobile (iOS & Android) Technical Lead with a background in shaping and driving technical delivery across multiple functions.
You will use your expert tech knowledge to lead, deliver and influence the direction of key internal and external projects. A persuasive and intelligent communicator, you know how to reach, convince, and deliver through, your stakeholders. And you’ll coach and develop a talented team, sharing your knowledge of engineering best practice.
You will have great problem solving skills, a passion for technology, and a strong understanding of Agile principles. Your skills and open and approachable attitude mean you will be seen and respected as our go-to for Mobile Applications.
What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?
- You are experienced in managing and inspiring teams, both directly and matrix, through ambiguous and tricky projects.
- You are an expert in mobile device platforms, iOS and Android.
- You experience building large scale mobile apps predominantly iOS.
- You experience with MDM functionality (AirWatch, Jamf & InTune.
- You have experience with Agile/DevOps delivery methodologies and best practice.
- You have with CI/CD, Product Development Lifecycles, Cloud technologies and platform Integration.
