Key responsibilities
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team you will define services offered by the practice, setting out how they will be delivered and what excellence looks like. You will work with other Service Practice Leads in BPDTS to build cross-community ways of working to support delivery priorities and effectively deliver common goals.
You will insure delivery of digital services by practice members, many of whom will be embedded in DWP teams, providing regular, technical direction and coaching as to how services are performed.
The Digital Service Practice Lead will Champion technical and best practice evolution within the organisation; finding, testing, agreeing and adopting emerging technologies, principles and processes to drive continuous improvement and promote innovation.
About you
You must have demonstrable experience of senior leadership in a digital environment, with the ability to build momentum for change.
You will have extensive experience of leading and continuously improving large Software Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering & Test/QA teams in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment, delivering products within specific time-scales and working alongside multiple senior stakeholders.
You will be working to and assisting in setting contemporary engineering standards and working practices across a broad range of technologies (open source and proprietary).
