We’re looking for Senior Business Analysts to join DWP, the UK’s largest government department, and become a key part of one of the UK’s biggest and most high-profile digital transformation programmes. We deliver services to millions of people every day, including your family, friends, neighbours and some of the most vulnerable people in our society.

In this role you will continue to grow your management skills, leading a team of Business Analysts and potentially others, managing relationships with senior stakeholders and becoming a leading figure within the Business Analyst community. As an active member of a multi-disciplinary delivery team you’ll be able to put your vast business analysis experience and skills to test working on some of the largest digital products and services out there.

You and your role

As a Senior Business Analyst, You’ll be working with digital experts as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering change that makes a real difference to millions of citizens lives across the country.

You’ll need be comfortable in line managing and developing other Business Analyst, sharing your skills and knowledge, in order to deliver high quality analysis outcomes. You will have the opportunity to represent the BA practice externally, within the DWP and across government and also to the wider BA community.

What are we looking for?

• You can translate the business problem and user needs into a set of detailed requirements for the solution that align to best practice methodology, with the appropriate use of epics, features, user stories and defined acceptance criteria.

• You can elicit requirements using a range of techniques including stakeholder interviews, workshops, use cases and document analysis in order to understand current processes and gather new requirements.

• You have a good understanding of modelling and analysis tools, methods and standards and know when to use them.

• You can lead workshops, interviews, focus groups and other techniques to effectively understand business problems and user needs within large complex projects.

• You can encourage and promote Agile methodologies across functions, setting standards across the function and ensuring these standards and methodologies are followed.

• You have the capability and credibility to be one of the leading figure within the BA Community, taking on line management responsibilities and playing significant role in recruitment and performance assessment activities.

• As a strong communicator you are able to build long-term strategic, collaborative relationships with stakeholders of all levels, and negotiate and influence commercial and technical decisions.
