This Senior Data Architect role sits within our Collaboration and Communication team, right at the heart of that transformation.

We are in the process of setting up Skype and Office 365 services and applications throughout the DWP estate. This is a strategic data architecture role, driving transformation and harnessing previous Office 365 implementation experience to roll out new services across multiple teams.

You will join a network of digital, data and technology leaders who co-ordinate and drive transformation across government. It’s a big role, a massive challenge and a huge opportunity. If that sounds as exciting to you as it does to us, get in touch.

You’ll take the lead on technical design, ensuring high quality and adherence to enterprise architecture principles and roadmaps

You’ll collaborate with architects, engineers, product managers, and a range of other digital professionals. You’ll build relationships big enough to enable VFM solution designs, and to implement solutions.

You’ll have responsibility for product architecture. You’ll create solution options, choose the right technologies and make recommendations to get us to the best decision and best solution design.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Resolving complex technical design conflicts
• Ownership of technical design documentation, Design standards, Metadata and Data Quality
• Ensuring and embed fit-for-purpose designs (with emphasis on performance, volumetrics and costs),
• Driving innovation, and looking at risks, opportunities and impacts arising from digital technologies
• Shaping propositions and suggesting viable solution options
What skills and experience are we looking for?

The ideal candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate the following essential criteria

• Microsoft SharePoint training and certification
• Microsoft O365 training and certification
• Data Architecture experience
• Microsoft SharePoint experience of implementation for large organisations
• Microsoft O365 experience.
• You’re a great communicator, influencer and collaborator
• Data governance
• Metadata management
• Turning business problems into technical design
• IT based degree preferred but not mandatory for candidate with extensive experience
