We’re looking for talented Senior Data Scientists (Cyber Security) to join our growing community of experts and become a key part of one of the biggest and highest-profile digital transformation programmes in the world. About you
Our department is undergoing one of the most important and exciting transformations in government, which have a direct impact on millions of people. Cyber Security data science specialists will be responsible for the sophistication and accuracy of our underlying analytics capability in tackling a range of security risks.
You will have the following essential skills and experience:
- Building and optimising innovative, security analytics solutions on large or complex data sets
- Using techniques such as data visualisation, anomaly detection, machine learning or real time decisions
- Understanding of potential attacker behaviour and malware activity
- Awareness of the latest technology trends in the cyber and analytics domain and their relative merits
You may have the following desirable skills and experience:
- Typical Government information security policies and procedures including the use of its data
- Using products such as Splunk, Arcsight, Logrhythm or Alienvault
- GIAC, GMON or other equivalent information security qualifications
- Working alongside SOC analysts or similar team
