We’re looking for an experienced Engineer to work with us on one of the largest transformation programmes in Europe.
As a Senior Engineer with a background in Infrastructure Operations (Network & Telecommunications) in BPDTS, you’ll be working with a wide range of tools and technologies such as TCP/IP routing protocols, including OSPF and BGP, network services like DNS, DHCP as well as server virtualisation techniques NFV, SDN and SD-WAN and solutions for the DWP.
What are we looking for?
• Experience in the design, implementation, administration and support of IT Operations, infrastructure technologies and solutions – hardware, software, commercial off the shelf (COTS) and open source packages/solutions, virtual and cloud including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
• Management of a team: workload and resource management, performance and capability management, career development
• Experience of working in collaborative environments with strong senior stakeholder and client management
• Strong experience in Service Management & Operations (particularly Request Fulfilment, Incident/Problem/Change Management) and with experience of Service Transition
• Significant experience of network security products and countermeasure techniques, including firewalls, Virtual Private Networks (VPN’s), encryption and authentication techniques
• Significant knowledge of Cisco data-centre products and Cisco CCIE/CCNP/CCDP certification or equivalent experience/skills such as NFV/SDN.
