Job description

We are looking for Senior Service Designers who …

There are over 110,000 colleagues and agents working with us and, right now, helping us lead the response to Covid-19.

We’re driven by an extraordinary purpose. In DWP Digital we’re transforming the products and services we deliver to make them work better for the people who need them.

As a service designer in DWP Digital you could be helping support people to into work, helping them get financial support, plan for their retirement, or working on a number of other user-centric services.

And our pension offer is amazing – with circa 27% contributions from your employer – so you’re working towards a better future for you and your family while you’re helping to create better futures for millions of others in the UK.

We also want to ensure our people have a really good work/life balance. You’ll enjoy the benefits of flexible working, including flexi time which means you can manage how and when you work and also take extra days off.

Design. Work. Projects.

We want talented Senior Service Designers to understand end-to-end user journeys and whole services, identify service patterns and use prototypes to test services.

Working alongside other Designers, Researchers and Product Owners, you’ll design services that work for the people who use them. You’ll make things easier and simpler for our users and reduce operational cost.

You will work in a highly collaborative way to create quality service design deliverables, including experience maps and service blueprints. You’ll use research findings, data, insight gathering and lead on concept generation to define the customer journey and articulate the vision for our products and services to different stakeholder groups.

We also want you to take the lead on workshops, drive actionable outcomes and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to understand user behaviour and feedback.

Where will you work?
For this role, you’ll join our team with a base office at one of our Digital Hubs at either Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Manchester, Blackpool or Leeds.
