Job description
Technical Lead: Up to £82,543 20%+ pension contributions, flexible working, work life balance and great benefits
We’re looking for a brilliant Senior Technical Lead to join us on DWP’s Digital Delivery for Shared Platforms (DDSP)
Within DWP Digital, Digital Delivery for Shared Platforms (DDSP) evolves and transforms some of the most critical systems in DWP, to unleash the potential of Digital services to reduce overheads, cost and friction for citizen and agent-facing services. We enable service teams to take control of their own velocity, removing entry-barriers and dependencies.
DDSP is made up of a collection of functions working in tandem, enabling successful delivery of services across DWP.
Our vision is to enable frictionless, self-service, integration products that enable fast, efficient data sharing-removing current heavy reliance on the integration team and changing our focus from building bespoke integration solutions to providing tooling and easy discoverable, re-usable common services.
You and your role
A skilled, experienced Senior Technical Lead with a background in shaping and driving technical delivery across multiple functions.
You will use your expert tech knowledge to influence the direction of our projects while coaching and upskilling a team, sharing your knowledge of engineering best practice.
You will lead the management, governance and delivery of internal and external projects. A persuasive and intelligent communicator, you know how to reach, convince, and deliver through, your stakeholders.
You will have great problem solving skills, a passion for technology, and a strong understanding of Agile principles. Your skills and open and approachable attitude mean you will be seen and respected as our go-to person.
This Senior Technical Lead post is based in Integration Technologies. We think this is a once-in-a-career opportunity to deliver an AP-led integration strategy which will create edge computing products that drive frictionless data sharing across DWP and other government departments.
What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?
- You are experienced in managing and inspiring teams, both directly and matrix, through ambiguous and tricky projects.
- You have managed multiple product lines.
- You are experienced at building best-in-class products and accompanying services.
- You have managed and deployed complex software developments.
- You have experience with Agile/DevOps delivery methodologies and best practice.
- You haveexperience with CI/CD, Product Development Lifecycles, Cloud technologies and platform Integration.
