An exciting opportunity has arisen to provide executive support to senior members of BPDTS Ltd.
This team is at the heart of building and sustaining the BPDTS workforce with the aim of bringing top talent into the organisation and ensuring that individuals are deployed to meet the needs of our customer, DWP. In BPDTS Ltd you will be part of an organisation responsible for the delivery of digital platforms and services, real-time analytics and flexible infrastructure, providing secure and resilient services to DWP.

You and Your role
You have recent experience of working in a private office or secretariat. You have the ability to multi-task, managing a varied workload, prioritising effectively and reacting quickly and calmly to changing circumstances.
You are self-motivated, highly organised and able to co-ordinate activity, working effectively with a range of colleagues.
You have experience in arranging executive travel and hotel bookings, arranging meetings (rooms, availability of attendees, issuing appointments, rescheduling as necessary, meeting equipment etc), ensuring value for money.
You will be responsible for the day to day management of the executive’s inbox, including proactively ensuring that the urgent requests are processed quickly, actioning emails where possible, delegating emails to the team to be actioned and filtering unnecessary emails. Managing ad-hoc organisation returns.
You will be supporting the organisation’s people engagement agenda. Supporting the organisation of conferences and roadshows.
You will be preparing meetings agendas for our Senior Leaders, taking meeting minutes/notes, ensuring all actions arising are completed as agreed. You’ll also support with drafts and briefings and help collate expenses.
What we are looking for
- Recent experience of working in a private office or secretariat.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience in dealing with and influencing senior colleagues as well as a range of other offices.
- Have the ability to quickly grasp and disseminate complex issues.
- Forward planning and working with colleagues to ensure that the executive has the right papers and briefing notes in sufficient time for their meetings.
- Have the ability to multi-task, managing a varied workload, prioritising effectively and reacting quickly and calmly to changing circumstances.
- Be innovative, with the ability to deliver under pressure and be flexible / willing to assist colleagues when required.

BPDTS Ltd provides dedicated services to the Department for Work and Pensions. Our digital, data and technology specialists work closely with experts in DWP Digital’s community to make digital services quicker, simpler and more efficient for the millions of people that use them.
You’ll join us in our easy-to-reach digital hub in Newcastle. Each of our hubs has been designed for and by members of our digital community. We provide the latest tech and tooling and foster a collaborative culture to help our agile, multi-disciplinary teams think big and try new things.
