You and your role

We’re looking for talented Data Solutions Developer to join our growing community of experts on our Data & Analytics practice and become a key part of one of the biggest and highest-profile digital transformation programmes in the world.
You’ll be a confident and collaborative part of Centric Multi Disciplinary Team, where you will test your skills on a portfolio of different government projects and mediation works within the Data & Analytics practice.

Your role is focused on data exploitation to identify fraud and error, and using data to drive improvements in public service and the social wellbeing of our users.

You’ll have the skills required to develop accurate, efficient data solutions which meet customer and business needs. You will ensure the stability, robustness and resilience of the products you design and drive continuous improvement and capability growth in the data practice. We want you to help develop junior data engineers and provide an expert voice on data across DWP Digital.
This is a big challenge, but also a big opportunity. What skills and experience are we looking for?

• Deep understanding of a programming language, SAS client, SAS E-guide, PROC SQL, SQL, SAS programming
• Knowledge and understanding of producing unit-test scripts and version control methodologies
• Strong experience of conducting complex data transformations, using data links techniques
• Experience of managing files through Cuteftp and Unix

• Agile background/approach
