Job description

We’re looking for a talented Data Architect to join our growing community of experts and become a key part of one of the biggest and highest-profile digital transformation programmes in the world.

You and your role
As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for providing guidance and leadership on the development of data strategy. data-based products, data governance and quality assurance for the UK’s largest government department.

Working in our Data & Analytics team, you will take business and technical requirements and implement the data tier of a solution. You’ll ensure the longevity, maintainability, and compliance with DWP data strategy and data governance, of any solution.

You will work with and develop alongside our brilliant Senior and Lead Data Architects in such areas as the development of architectural patterns, architecture designs and architectural artefacts.

We are especially interested in applications if you are able to demonstrate that you can:

• communicate complex technical and data issues with clarity.

• build networks of strong interpersonal relationships to achieve shared objectives.

• listen to the needs of stakeholders (both technical and business) and interpret between them.

• demonstrate a deep understanding of the technical and data concepts required in the and how they fit into the wider technical landscape.

• work with and challenge senior stakeholders, can prioritise and mitigate constraints, adapting your approach accordingly.

• develop data models and apply data standards to digital services.

Where will you work?
You’ll join our team at our digital hub in Blackpool.

The hub is based on the outskirts of the city, just a 15-minute drive from the train station with lots of parking. There are also local buses that stop nearby. Our facilities include a canteen, coffee shop, deli bar, vending machines, ATM banking, cycle shelter and showers.
