DWP are looking for ambitious, skilled Digital Portfolio Manager with brilliant stakeholder management skills to work with us on in a once-in-a-generation digital transformation. About you and your role
As an Associate Digital Portfolio Manager you will have an active, varied role the management of DWP’s huge portfolio of digital projects and delivery activities. In your initial posting function, you will support activity around Scotland and Scottish devolution and have opportunity to get involved elsewhere too.
You will support the tracking, analysis, reporting and assuring delivery of outcomes within your portfolio. You’ll support delivery teams in accelerating delivery, assisting in unblocking issues and help ensure that proper controls and risk mitigation procedures are in place.
We want someone who can understand customer needs, and can balance this with the needs of the DWP. A large part of this role is centred on Stakeholder management so you’ll need to be good with people, and able to build relationships big enough to get the job done.
You’ll work within a defined Portfolio Management structure with lots of experience and talent around you. In our small, friendly team you will work with variety of senior stakeholders and digital experts from various government departments and third parties so we need someone who can articulate strong business rationales and help work towards desired outcomes for both the DWP and our partners.
You’ll get strong exposure and experience really quickly as you grow and develop your career in our brilliant DWP Portfolio Management Community.
What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?
- Experience of reporting and tracking progress and unblocking issues using defined methods.
- Experience of managing stakeholders independently up to board Level.
- Experience of producing reports using a range of tools.
- Experience of analysing information to make recommendations based on key project factors such as outcomes, costs, risks, dependencies and priorities.
