You and your role
We’re looking for Digital Portfolio Managers with experience of working in a large scale Technology environment. Here you’ll manage a Digital Function Portfolio and build portfolio management capability with your immediate team and also into the broader Portfolio Management Community of Practice.

As a Digital Portfolio Manager you will focus on ensuring that the portfolio of digital projects or delivery activities within a Service or across DWP Digital delivers optimal outcomes contributing to the department’s aims and delivers in its Digital Strategy.

You will also support tracking, reporting, analysis and delivery of outcomes within your portfolio, supporting delivery teams in accelerating delivery, unblocking issues whilst ensuring proper controls and risk mitigation processes are in place.

We want credible, collaborative senior leaders who can use their experience and talent to effectively Lead Digital governance within the Function, including managing any front door impacting & demand and Identify, collate, track and unblock dependencies across projects (both within the function and cross-cutting between functions).

What are we looking for?

We are looking for candidates who have experience in a project management role covering the full project life-cycle (either Waterfall or Agile delivery method) and experience of portfolio management role covering multiple projects or programmes across a broad delivery portfolio.

The successful candidate will have experience of analysing multiple information sources, producing reports appropriate for senior audiences, including making recommendations for changes and of applying appropriate governance procedures including delivery assurance

The digital portfolio manager will also be expected to manage stakeholders independently and identify, manage and escalating key risks to board level when and if required
