Job description

DWP. Digital with Purpose.

We’re looking for talented Application Engineers with skills and experience of FICO and debt management/recovery products and systems, to join our growing community of experts and become a key part of one of the biggest and high profile digital transformation programmes in the world.

Right now, we’re building a digital debt service that will empower self service for millions of users across the UK. It’s a step change for debt management in DWP and across government. We’re building out a COTS system that, if we get it right, will be key to getting the citizen experience right, and key to improvving the working experience of our debt operations colleagues.

If you are looking for a role that differs from the norm, where you will use your skills to help real people, you will struggle to find a bigger, more challenging and rewarding opportunity anywhere in the UK. Click through or get in touch to find out more.

You and your role

You’re a skilled application engineer but primarily you’re a specialist with debt management products and debt recovery systems.

DWP is the largest civil service department in the UK, dealing with millions of transactions and £billions of payments every year.

Working on our strategically significant Fraud, Error and Debt (FED) programme, you’ll need to have the skills and knowledge to administer, configure and extend these products.

FICO is a key strategic tool for FED so, while general experience of debt tools and products is great, if you’re looking for a more senior role then we really need someone who has knowledge of FICO tools, systems and products specifically.
