We are looking for Java Software Engineer to join our team. Here at BPDTS Ltd we’re working with DWP Digital to reshape the digital landscape of UK government. We need your talent and energy to power that change.

These are extraordinary times. We’re working hard with DWP to deliver the new systems and services that people across the country needs. Over the coming years, you’ll be developing technology which has to be rock solid, reliable, and accurate – processing claims and payments for millions of people.
Our multi-disciplinary, agile teams work across a range of key projects including systems which pay millions per night to millions of people. You’ll develop and implement business changes and application fixes to core software, take on one-off developments, proofs-of-concept and more to help improve the user experience and enable people to access the services they need, when they need them most.
What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?
- Significant and demonstrable experience implementing Software Engineering best practices.
- Experience of translating and communicating highly technical concepts to both technical personnel and non-IT business users.
- Significant experience of development using:
– Java 1.8
– JEE / J2EE
– XML and SOAP - Experience of Websphere application server.
- Significant experience of database technologies Oracle and SQL.
