We are looking for a talented Junior QA Tester to join our elite Accessibility Test team. You will be responsible for delivering real value to millions of UK citizens and thousands of DWP agents through innovative, accessible and efficient digital services.
Within the Testing Practice, we are looking to develop our capability through the use of traditional and agile principles, and implementing modern tools and technologies to deliver high quality services.

Duties. Work. Projects.
As a Junior QA Tester, you will be responsible for testing digital services, websites and documents ensuring we are compliant and deliver services for users who are hard of hearing, visually impaired and for vulnerable people in our society.
You’ll get involved with great tooling such as assistive technology testing using screen-readers, screen magnifiers and voice recognition software.
You will be responsible for the testing of applications which support DWP services and collaborate with delivery teams to determine the testability of functional and non-functional requirements; defining test scopes and user flows to maximise test coverage.
We are always looking for new ways of working, ways to improve, and opportunities for more automation and we welcome curious minds and good ideas.
In this role you will:
- Maintain full traceability of defects, tests and requirements.
• Develop and maintain reusable test collateral and services.
• Collaborate with other teams in the Software Development Lifecycle to drive solutions.
• Understand Agile and Waterfall delivery principles, methodology and tools.
• Review test practices and implement improvements.
• Able to identify usability issues and WCAG failures, and work with stakeholders to coordinate the fixing of accessibility issues
