Job description

DWP. Digital with Purpose.

You are responsible for fostering the right environment for your multidisciplinary teams to succeed, helping them to self-sufficient whilst creating a culture of learning and transparency. You’ll be a key part of one of the UK’s biggest and most high-profile digital transformation programmes, a once-in-a-generation reform of government products and services.

Be an exemplary servant leader. Lead from the front. Embed Agile in the fabric of DWP. You’ll keep pace with the introduction of relevant agile and lean tools and techniques, and remove obstacles and blockers that might get in the way of delivery.

Duties. Work. Projects. You and your role:

As a Programme/Project Delivery Lead, you will deliver end to end programme projects including owning the delivery of Hybrid Cloud Services used by the Department. Our hybrid cloud hosting solution makes use of both traditional data centres and cloud hosting solutions to provide a blended capability making best use of each offering.

You will have the ability to adapt and reflect, also able to recognise when something does not work and encourage a mind-set of experimentation. There is real opportunity here to exploit new and emerging tech as we move forward. We’re looking for someone with an ability to deliver now and keep an eye on the future.

You will provide agile leadership to a multi-disciplinary agile team and you’ll help embed agile principles and practices across the wider organisation and build and nurture the relationships with senior stakeholders.

We are looking for strong people experience leadership and management.
