You and your role

As a Lead Software Engineer you will be an expert in your field, skilled in multiple disciplines, and a role model in software craft. You should have proven experience in the design, development and support of software products and experience of leading others to deliver.

You’ll champion technical innovation, adopting the right emerging technologies and champion best practice. You’ll collaborate across teams Software Engineers and key technical decision makers to define and delivery a strategic vision for our products;

You understand that the work we do will touch millions of people – your friends, family, neighbours and some of the most vulnerable people in our society – so your ultimate aim is to ensure we deliver quality software products.

You’ll join us in one of our easy-to-reach digital hubs in either Leeds or Sheffield (your choice)

In Sheffield our whole hub is dedicated to working on Identity Services. We’re at the cutting edge of authorisation and verification software and products with the likes of UMA2. The work we’re doing here will revolutionise how people interact with government and how public organisations interact with each other.

We provide the latest tech and tooling and foster a collaborative culture to help our agile, multidisciplinary teams think big and try new things. You will work alongside people who care passionately about public service, making a difference and delivering for our customers.
