Job description

DWP. Digital with Purpose.

DWP is the UK’s largest government department. We’re responsible for £150bn payments to over 20 million people. We’re modernising the products, services and systems we use and deliver as part of a once-in-a-generation digital reform.

We use fresh ideas and leading-edge technologies – and putting the user at the centre of everything we do – to create innovative digital solutions that will make support and services more efficient to run and easier to access for over 20 million users.

We have a brilliant opportunity for a talented Product Manager and leader to join our DWP Digital team. You will build, grow and shape a thriving community of Product Managers, and influence what Product Management means in DWP, at a time when our products and services have never been more important to more people.

Delivery. Work. People.

This is a Product Manager role with a difference.

You’ll turn all your skills and experience onto the job of developing our Product Management community and practice. You’ll work closely with our Head of Product Management Danny McLaughlin to make sure our PM community and offer in DWP is formidable, respected and adds real value.

Working with Danny you’ll shape and deliver the Product Management community agenda. You’ll also be developing and maintaining community objectives and key results that will track the effectiveness of the community agenda.

You’ll know how to build capability within the Product Management profession, starting with an Associate/Junior Product Managers program. You’ll collaborate with the right partners, and build relationships big enough to get this job done.

You’ll set up community feedback processes to monitor the effectiveness of our community’s agenda, and help build a better understanding of the needs of our people.

Other times your focus will be on planning, co-ordinating and running successful community events and initiatives. You’ll work with various internal stakeholder teams to identify skills gaps/needs and support the creation of learning curriculums.

It’s a big, exciting new role for us, and one that will help shape what Product Management looks like in DWP, and across government. If that sounds like something you’d like to be part of, click APPLY today.

What skills and experience will I need?
