Job description

We’re looking for a talented, experienced Senior Data Architect to join our growing community of experts and become a key part of one of the biggest and highest-profile digital transformation programmes in the world.

You and your role

Working on either our Fraud, Error & Debt (FED) or Customer Information teams, you will take the lead on assuring data integrity, data security and data governance in solution designs.

You will own technical and data design documentation, design standards, Metadata and Data Quality and ensure all solutions comply with DWP data principles, policies and patterns.

With an emphasis on performance, volumetrics and costs you will always make sure that data designs are fit for purpose, shaping propositions and suggesting viable solution options.

You’ll join a multi-disciplinary team, where you’ll work with a range of experts. You will work closely with our Business Architects to define a product approach to meet the specified user needs. You will also liaise with Solution Architects to define database types, and work, learn and share with Architects of all levels from across our thriving community.

• Ability to communicate complex technical and data issues with clarity.
• Experience of building a network of strong interpersonal relationships to achieve shared objectives.
• Ability to listen to the needs of stakeholders and interpret between them.
• Able to demonstrate a deep understanding of technical and data concepts.
• Ability to work with and challenge senior stakeholders.
