Job description

Do you want to be part of something really big? We have a great opportunity awaiting you if:-

• You are highly experienced with working at pace in an agile environment and are able to work from a digital perspective.

• You are an expert in being able to take responsibility and constructive criticism as well as being in a position to administer it.

• You are an IxD expert who relishes the thought of leading by example to see home the largest of design projects.

• You understand the importance of User Centred Approach – basing content and design on users’ actual needs.

We are looking for Senior Interaction Designers to work with us on one of the largest transformation programmes in Europe, providing services that have far-reaching and pivotal roles in citizens’ lives.

We know that better digital services in government will mean better public services, with the power to make a difference to lives of 22 million UK citizens. Join our fast growing digital community and help drive that change.

About you
As a Senior Interaction Designer you will be able to demonstrate you can drive forward projects and people towards an understanding of user needs and design services (including interfaces and transaction flows) that meet them.

You’ll thrive in overseeing others as well as yourself in creating and rapidly iterating prototypes to help the wider team learn about user needs for different scenarios or tasks.

You will be willing to take charge and to play an active leadership part in the department’s Product Design community.

You will be highly motivated to drive forward innovative working practices in a cross-functional team to turn concepts into user-centred services.
