We are looking for a Software Engineer to work with us on one of the largest transformation programmes in Europe, providing services that have far-reaching and pivotal roles in citizens’ lives. As a Software Engineer in BPDTS you will be responsible for the development of products, which make up services used by millions of people everyday. You will be responsible for the operational stability of the products you build.

What are we looking for?
- Good with SQL and no-SQL database applications such as Postgres, MySQL, and MongoDB.
- Experience implementing Software Engineering best practices.
- Experience of developing in cloud based environments. Ability to build and test interfaces between systems.
- Understand key principles of modern standards approaches.
- Experience in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment, delivering products within specific time-scales, being able to quickly comprehend and convert business requirement and user stories into technical solutions and engaging with multiple senior stakeholders.

We will join us in our easy-to-reach digital hubs in Leeds. Each hub is designed for and by members of our digital community. We provide the latest tech and tooling and foster a collaborative culture to help our agile, multidisciplinary teams think big and try new things.
In Leeds you’ll have the best of the city on your doorstep, and great facilities inside include coffee shops, a restaurant, a swimming pool and (less fun but really convenient) a dentist.
